ELDERBERRY SYRUP 

Elderberry is the most used go to remedy for cooler months. Naturally contains Vit A, B and is richer in Vit  C then oranges and lemon. Elderberries can modulate inflammation and decrease oxidative stress. 

Benefits from Elderberry are:

  • Helps clear sinus infection
  • Reduced the symptoms and duration of cold and flu
  • Has inti inflammatory properties 
  • Has natural diuretic effects and promotes bowel movement

Making elderberry syrup is easy with this recipe:

1 cup of dried elderberries 

1 tablespoon of orange peel

2 teaspoons of dry ginger 

2 teaspoons of cinnamon

½ teaspoon of peppercorn 

2 cardamon pods

2 whole cloves

3 cups of water

1 cup of honey 

Cook everything (apart from the honey) on the stove for 20 min on low heat, strain, wait until the liquid cools down, then add honey. Keep in glass container in the fridge. Take one spoon a day 😊
